On Top of the Hill

Well, I feel like I owe you good peeps a real blog post... the first of the week, yes, I know. Not to make excuses, but I've been b-u-s-y! As many of you know, I've been traveling again this week. Let's see... first, I dragged my good buddy Melanie up to Chapel Hill for homecoming, then we hopped over to Charlotte for MNF Panthers vs. Bucs. Tuesday morning, we headed back to Statesboro, where I stayed for all of about 2 hours before I hit the pavement again for a 3-day business trip to Atlanta. Finally, tonight, I've made my way back to the Boro for a (hopefully) good night's sleep in my own bed.

Homecoming

Wouldn't it be GREAT if Carolina football was good again? I was just checking out a Carolina Yackety Yack from '97 the other day (on this trip, actually), and I noticed the football schedule/results. We had ONE loss that year... and that was to #2 FSU on Judgment Day in the Tar Pit! Anyway, homecoming these past few years has been interesting. Seems like Bunting always takes this opportunity (when the impress-me alumni are back in town) to get the one win that secures his job for the next year. This year, since he's already been canned, I guess he figured he could just let this one go. Nah... in truth, the game was pretty good... except for the two Dailey interceptions in the end zone. UGH. Football aside, I enjoyed it thoroughly. Got to catch up and hang out with some besties from back in the day. Love!!!!! Plus, with Haley, Melanie, Jess & Mike squared there, who could not have a blast?!

Huh... well, go figure; I'm going to have to pick this up tommorrow. I can't seem to keep my eyes open, and I'm even falling asleep on Bill (Maher) every 20 seconds. Thank goodness I only do that with TV and the computer. I'd hate to be in the middle of a conversation, listening to something important from a friend's perspective then... boom... knocked out cold. Um... can you please repeat that?! Yeah, good thing I don't have to do that. So... I've fallen asleep twelve times just writing this last paragraph. There was even a repeat dream about Noah & his tigers. Geez... Gonna have to come back to all y'all later.

Hope you had a wonderful, excitement & happiness-filled Friday. Peace, love, and Carolina!!!
