Rollergirls... yes seriously

So, did anyone else happen to catch the premiere of Rollergirls last night on A&E? I know, how embarassing... but I used to LOVE watching the roller derby on Saturdays when I was growing up. Who knew I had such a violent streak in me?!?! I can't look away; and last night, A&E gave me a little peak into the world of the derby girls. I WANT TO LIVE IN AUSTIN, TX, AND BE ON A ROLLER DERBY TEAM!!! I bet my mom would come watch me just like Venis' mom came to see her. And my dad and sister, too.

Yesterday was a not-so-fun day at the COR. We announced that we're cutting 225 positions to trim costs. It was a tough day for just about everyone. Well, don't even know how much more I can say about that... just overall sucky.

On to happier subjects... our puppies are funny and a little bit frustrating today. Cooper is quite the little hellion. He cannot, I repeat cannot, let Kona have any toy or chew for more than a couple seconds before pouncing on her and becoming a vicious little hater. They have fought pretty much all day today! And for the one who works from home, it's been more than a little aggravating. Needless to say, they spent a lot of time on the porch today.
Of course, when they were sleepy, I just couldn't leave them out there. They're soooooooo cute when they're sleeping. Especially when it's right there in front of my... feet. :-)

Then, when Jon got home, he decided to let them outside for a little bit of running... to try to exorcise the demons. Well, the demons were exorcised... for a moment, at least, when they RAN HEADFIRST INTO THE BRICK WALL. I didn't see it, but Jon says Cooper let out a tremendous yelp. I guess Kona was chasing Coop, and he had to have seen the wall coming. But Jon says it looked like he just couldn't decide which way to turn. So, he went headfirst into it. We were a little worried about a concussion (can dogs get concussions? I think surely); but they're fighting now, so I think they're both fine. Coop's back to aggressing anytime Kona starts playing with any toy (the opossum and the squirrel seem to start the most bouts, thanks Haley).

Finally, I've been doing my best to be reasonable about my online time recently. But, that goes directly against my resolution to "reconnect with my friends". So, I'll still be around... pretty much all day every day. Catch me online sometime. I miss our chats.
