Okay, so I took a couple of days off. So what? I'm lazy. If you didn't know that about me already, you don't know me very well, do you? I wonder why everyone always has to be sleeeeeeeeping at this time of the evening. It's not that late. You don't have to get up that early. What the heck? And why does the weekend go by so quickly? Where does the time go?
Well, you'll all be proud to know that we didn't miss the Carolina game (or the Pitt game) today. We were very diligent and made sure we were in front of the telly at 4:30 pm (and 1:00 pm), Sunday, January 15, 200... (I mean 2006). How cool is it that both of my fave teams won? I'm very excited. I was disappointed in the Heels yesterday, though. Still love the team... just wish they could be a winning team. They'll get there for sure.
So, we played Cranium Turbo Edititon with some friends Saturday night (yes, which was last night). Jon is my star player. He is a whistling fiend (it must be nurture... Norm, I think he could rival your talent). Although, the range of songs you're required to whistle/hum in the game was a little funny. Of course, for the most points, we got Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Jingle Bells, and Let It Snow. But, for one measly point, we drew Jimi Hendrix's Purple Haze and The Four Tops' Baby I Need Your Loving. Seriously, who among you can whistle or hum Purple Haze? Shoot... go ahead and throw the lyrics in there. I had to go listen to a sample of the song just to know that one of my fave lines ever came from it (excuse me while I kiss the sky)... and I still wouldn't have known what song you were singing if you busted out with that line (which I would love to see)! Oh wait, no, it's why don't you go outside and kiss the rain that is my fave line/away message. I keep getting those confused. :-)
Haley, don't work so hard. Everyone needs a break sometimes! Same to you, Mom. Just take it nice & easy. You only get one ride; make it fun.
Anyway, all y'all in the South who get tomorrow off for MLK Day, I'm jealous. I'll be slaving away at my too small, overcrowded, ergonomically unfriendly desk. You know where to find me if you're looking.
xoxo
