Stupid Yesterday, Stupid Today, Stupid Tomorrow. Focus, Heidi, Focus.

So, you may have found yourself wondering (if you picked up on the NC references... did I ever come right out and say I was in NC?) why I've been hanging with the fam in NC this week. Well, let me share the details of my day with you... as this day was the reason for my sojourn to les montagnes this lovely August week.

Somewhere between 7:00 and 8:00-ish... kind of hear Mom and/or Haley leave from sleepy stupor
8:00... turn off first alarm (cell phone alarm clock -- very handy tool)
8:10-ish... was that Dad leaving in his big fancy schmancy new truck (does that thing have a Duramax in it?!)
8:30... turn off second alarm (cell phone alarm clock -- less cool, getting somewhat annoying)
8:45... oh crap, I should've been "working" (use hand quotation marks generally there when reading aloud please) 45 minutes ago!
9:30... e-mails answered, nothing major going on, just resting eyes for a sec
10:00... oh crap, I should've been "working" (use hand quotation marks... okay, it's getting annoying now...) all this time I've been napping!
10:30... e-mails answered, nothing major going on, IM'ing with Haley & Jon completed for the morning, I think I'll go take a shower
10:40... burn fingertips on stupid Clairol hot rollers from 1983. What the heck are these things still doing under the cabinet? They could be used as lethal weapons! But, I like my hair hot-rolled, so I brave it one more time.
10:45... consider leaving computer online (to appear Away instead of Offline) while I leave for a bit, remember flaming Dell incidents, close lid. Screw 'em.
11:00... Randolph rescued from back lot at local dealership (where he had oil/lube completed yesterday)
11:20... e-mails answered, nothing major going on, I'm going to lunch
11:50... heck yeah, foot long & cheese sticks. I love going to lunch by myself. No one can make me feel bad about my eating habits. I support the Dairy House!!!
12:15... I'm a little early, so I take a quick drive to see Aunt & Uncle's house that is on the market. Just curious... haven't seen it in forever, want to remember what it looks like. Don't want to turn around in their driveway, so I continue up the street. Oh yeah! An ex used to live up here... ha ha ha... remember night when he hit the mailbox with his car. Good Lord, what was I thinking!?!? Also remember special chalk at Jeni's. Nik & CaptC... we all agreed never to discuss this incident with anyone in uniform, right? Just a friendly reminder from your local tipbuster.
12:25... Stroll into new dentist's office in town for 12:30 appointment
12:26... Commence numbing
4:30... Leave new dentist's office in town to return to awaiting e-mails & nothing major
5:15... Finish "work" for the day, begin napping... Why am I so tired?!
6:00-ish... Hop in shiny new black truck (Does that thing have a Duramax? You're about to find out!) with Pops & Haley. Dinner out... my favorite!
7:30 - 11:15... Movies with the fam (She's the Man & RV -- both quite amusing... you've got to give She's the Man enough time to get better)
11:40... Commence nightly blog post, consider writing out day's events as schedule, toss out lame idea, come up with nothing else interesting, go ahead and write schedule for giggles, decide early bedtime wins out over interesting blog post.

And that, my friends, brings me to the present moment.

Perhaps you find yourself wondering why I visited the new dentist's office? Because it belongs to my baby cuz! And he's a really good dentist. And I had a chewing-on-one-side-of-my-mouth-because-my-tooth-hurts dental problem that I wanted him to assist with. So... remember when I wrote about my other dentist in Statesboro? Yeah, well, he's good. Turns out Joey agrees with him on just about everything he told me. But sorry, huggy doc, I'm pro-fam all the way... giving my biz to the new dentist @ home! Anyway, today's visit was about a root canal -- FUN!!! The next one will be about a crown for that root canal tooth. Then, we're gonna discuss replacing old fillings, additional crowns, a night guard (I cannot imagine WHY I'd be grinding my teeth in my sleep all of a sudden... but Joey & my Statesboro doc are telling me I must be doing it), and bleaching... well, possibly. I'm actually pretty excited about today's work. Hopefully, J.R. has solved the chew-on-one-side problem! And we'll see about all the rest.

Anyway, that's that. I'm off to dreamland. Heading back to Statesboro tomorrow... with a relatively early departure (if I can get my sorry butt out of bed, that is). I figure I can get up & out of here by 9 or 9:30... or perhaps that's a tad ambitious. LOL! Well... as long as I can get on the road by noon-ish, I'll be back home for a reasonable dinner time. What're we having, Jon Boy?

OMG! I forgot all about the chalk drawing. Unfortunately, my early 20's lifestyle has left me with a splotchy memory. Was it a body outline?? What was our motivation?? The worst part, who is CaptC? I think I am losing my mind! Speaking of the past, I was looking through some old pics. Remember this name? Fragedakis?? He was "master!"
