Welcome to Another Day... It Don't Seem That Different 'Cause Nothing Has Changed

(Mom, please... it's a LYRIC. My grammar-tical skillz are better than that!)

I read a Yahoo! news story (How About an E-mail On That?) recently that caught my attention... and made me think about my own cell phone habits. Did you know that, even though we spend lots 'o hours on our cells, we only typically call about four people on them. I didn't really believe that... so I thought I'd put the theory to the test. I pulled our own cell phone bill from last month. You know, just to see. And, by gosh, if you don't count the little meaningless calls (you know, the less-than-a-minute ones, most of which were work-related or errand-ish, or the voicemail calls), the article had it just about right... +/- one-ish. I had four numbers that had over 100 minutes talked-to. And Jon had four numbers that had over 100 minutes talked-to. Amazing.

Anyway, this weekend (and this week) have been (so far) movie-licious for us. We saw:
1. World Trade Center on Friday
2. Talladega Nights - The Ballad of Ricky Bobby on Saturday
3. Good Night and Good Luck on Sunday (or was that Monday?)
4. Failure to Launch on Tuesday

They were all pretty good... well, fairly decent. Talladega Nights was definitely the best, followed closely by Good Night and Good Luck. And don't you judge me for that. Ricky Bobby is gonna be a classic... just you wait & see. Anyway, I'm just trying to get back to actually using my Blockbuster movie deal (Good Night and Good Luck & Failure to Launch... and previously Fun With Dick & Jane and Rumor Has It). Too many of these three-at-a-time movies have sat on the coffee table unopened and unwatched for weeks at a time. That is not what I'm paying for. So, yeah, back to using the Blockbuster movie deal AND we've been trying to keep up with Andrew & Amy's theater usage. Now that classes have officially started back (and the two of them are off their summer vacation), maybe we have a chance!

Anyway... it's getting late (once again!)... so I'll bid my adieu. I will promise you this... I'll do my darnedest to come up with a better blog topic for tomorrow. Sorry to all y'all who wasted your precious time reading along with my patter.

Oh yeah, one last thing... I must break up the monotony of the in-the-grass doggie photos. When Haley comments on it, I know you guys are noticing! ;-) Just kidding, baby sister. How about one of how Coop & Kona look after their daily RUN (okay, so it's not a run every day... but I try to pick up the pace on them every once in a while!):

And one more ... an update for anyone interested (!) in being my neighbor. Notice the big white pipe sticking up. What's that FOR??? Anyway, this is my vantage point if I stand (or sit) somewhere in front of my garage door. Lovely, huh?

As Edward R. Murrow would say... good night... and good luck.
