Your Sweet Smile is Something You Can Keep All Your Life

I'm seriously losing it. I thought Jon was gonna have to call the crazy house for me. I searched for my camera for HOURS today. I couldn't remember where in the world I put the darn thing. I called Mom, thought maybe I'd left it at home. I searched my bag (yeah, I know... I still hadn't unpacked), looked through my purse, looked in every room, searched the car, etc., etc. I looked ALL DAY. I mean, I remembered having it on the trip back to Statesboro... b/c I took a few pics trying to capture the coloring of the storm I drove through around Columbia. But where in the world did I put it when I got back home??? Duh... of course... on the speaker, beside the mirror TV, in the treadmill room. Because, of course, why WOULDN'T you need the camera in the treadmill room on the speaker beside the TV? Oh wait... dang it... I guess I was gonna try to take a picture of chubby. Phew... glad that didn't work out. You so didn't need to see that.

Speaking of chubby... Shakira, girl - these hips don't lie either. And in case you can't hear them from here, they're saying Sonic every day, baby.

The reason I was looking for the camera? Man... Jon's dogs were so bad today. I was running and they'd been out of the room for a while. So long, in fact (and it was so dangerously quiet), that I had to stop for a moment & go find 'em. I HAVE to remember to make sure Jon has closed the door to the upstairs after he leaves. And I HAVE to remember not to leave ANYTHING on the floor... especially Baked Doritos bags. Well, Kona & Cooper had an ultra-yummy lunch today. And their breath smelled like Doritos well into the evening. Well... until the Sonic bag incident. WHO told Kona that she could rogue a Sonic bag from the trash can? But, man oh man do they LOVE the fast food wrappers!

So, I saw my new favorite movie tonight: Pride and Prejudice. I think it was made for me! You have to pay attention to make sure you keep up with the dialogue, but when you do... it's absolutely fabulous!

Okay, a few funnies from "Two and a Half Men" (last week's Tivo'd version):
I think God gives us children so death won't come as such a disappointment.
I know what it feels like to be so in love with someone you want to crawl inside them so that you're wearing their skin like a leotard with nipples.

Okay, let's go finish the "Trading Spaces" marathon to clear off some of the Tivo to-do list. :-) Oooh... maybe I can't clear it off when I'm done, though. It's one of my faves! The crazy red room and the Cuban room. I want the Cuban room sooooo badly. Do you think I could get Gen to come do it for me? Wait... what am I saying? Didn't I want to do my own Trading Spaces-inspired room sometime? Perfect opportunity... maybe I can make one of the extra bedrooms my very own Cuban room! Think about it. Get back to me.

I wish there were some cheap flights between SAV and Chicago this weekend. I would LOVE to accompany my Lis to the Sunday shows at the Taste of Randolph festival this weekend. Jake, get with it, boy. You only live once, and when you miss an opportunity to do something fun, it doesn't come back around again. AND it's another fun memory you miss out on having (and sharing with your besties) -- don't you also wish we had more fun stories to tell from SCE (and I mean without having to make them up!)? What's a 2.5 hour drive anyway if not an incredibly great opportunity to talk to your wife and enjoy her beautiful blonde company. ;-) Oh sorry, Lis... that's right, you're NOT the blonde blonde.

By the way, has anyone seen my card reader? I swear... this is so not even funny. Maybe I'll find success tomorrow with the card reader. Then maybe I'll upload a photo or two for you. I've got to stop uploading so many at once. I get carried away all on one post, and then I don't have any left for the next few posts. Who's the blonde now, right?

Okay, here are two that struck my fancy tonight... from a while back... sorry:
1) Is Sydney rolling her tongue? What's up with that?? Haley, when did you teach her that trick?

2) Just recently someone (who was that again??? was it Carrie, I-look-just-like-my-sister? Maybe... don't really remember) told me that I look just like my mom. I love my mom. I think she's beautiful. I'll be proud to be able to look into the mirror mirror on the wall and say I am my mother after all. Oh wait... right... Carrie's point is that day is here. Except for the sighing (which she continues to point out to me), I think I'm doing all right! What do you think? Do you see the resemblance? Of course, the main reason I wanted to post this picture is not because it's the greatest ever of the two of us... but because it was taken at a place that we both dearly love. :-) Love you, Mom.

Shoot! I meant to be working while I was watching TV tonight. Darn it! Now I'm gonna have to do more work tomorrow. Well... here's hoping I can at least knock off a little bit early & head to the pool for a while. I mean... during my lunch break. Yeah, that's it. So, pool or no pool, I hope you enjoy your Friday! Sending you some of my favorites (X's) as I sign off... Much luv!
