Oh well... everything will just have to wait. I'll watch more of the "LIST" tomorrow and work more on the tunes organizing tomorrow and possibly even get some work done tomorrow. Who knows? I may even get that blog post written tomorrow.
Today was a big fat rainy day. I meant to take a picture of Alberto, but I'm always promising pics and I almost never come through. Chalk this one as another one of those times.
How great is the soundtrack for French Kiss? I mean, I KNEW it... because I've watched the movie about a million times. But, when I came downstairs just now, Jon had it on again. And as I sit here listening to the credits (funny, "listening" to the credits), I'm struck yet again by the sweet soundtrack: La Vie en Rose - Louis Armstrong and Someone Like You - Van Morrison especially. And speaking of songs that I like, I have to give kudos to Jennifer for introducing another one of my new faves to me via her MySpace page: "Give Me Up Again" - Jonny Lang. And speaking of other songs I love... the next movie on HBO has another fab soundtrack. The movie, however, was a little hard to watch the first time; but I've come to appreciate it after watching it, oh, like 10 times. (That would be The Wedding Date... GREAT soundtrack... but where is the Air Supply in that movie?!?! I'm waiting for the suprisingly poignant lesser-known ballad!)
Anyway... my friend Ragan was too funny tonight in a MySpace bulletin post (I love that there are THREE new posts in the last few hours about JJ's little mishap from today). I do feel for ole' JJ (I am, like Ragan says, also Southern) b/c I can just imagine how terrified he must've been approaching the traffic stop... enough so to attempt a dumbass U-ie to avoid it! Anyway... here's Ragan's take on it... hope she doesn't mind that I copied & pasted right into my blog!
Hello Peeps. I got in late from work and called my friend Jennie and she gave me the good news about J.J. Reddick (I like to hyphenate Red-dick. It's funner.). Anywho, you all may well be aware that he was caught in quite a precarious situation driving under the influence. Apparently smarty-pants did a U-turn in front of cops to avoid a traffic stop. That's the intelligence level of a Dook Grad. Whatever... I just thought I'd spread the news so you all could have a warm fuzzy like I had when I heard. But, still I'm Southern so I feel obligated to say, "Bless his heart."
Duke is Puke,
Ragan
Ragan's too funny. We love her. We also love Kate. Haley's maybe-new-roommate is too sweet.
Let's see... what else? Eh, forget it. I'm going to watch more of this movie until I can't prop my eyes open any longer... and all so I can do it all over again tomorrow. I'll leave you with a cute little pic from the weekend of festivities. Okay, so Haley's cute in it. :-) Hope you had a great Tuesday and are looking forward to a fantabulous Wednesday. See ya soon, baby. Can't wait till you come visit me. :-)
Oh yeah, and there was one more thing I wanted to say in this here blog post. Lis, in response to your comment... hello... I distinctly remember getting my curves whistled at and hit on by "creepy" guys in SCE. And there were those Gay Hulks(???). And there was the Maroon 5 night. Mmm, and right when the "Secret" part comes on in the movie! :-) C'mon now... give the sometimes-party-girl some credit for all those good times!
